Information on the processing of personal data
As part of your collaboration with CRH Denmark, we collect, register, store and use a number of details about you. CRH Denmark is the data controller and ensures that your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable legislation. By using CRH Denmark’s websites or purchasing our products, you consent to our processing of your personal data.
This privacy policy is updated on an ongoing basis.
Purpose
The purpose of processing your personal data is:
- to manage our business relationships and to negotiate or fulfil agreements
- to deliver products, services and information to you that you have requested
- to send you newsletters, other marketing material or invitations
- to provide general customer service and support
- to gain customer insight and knowledge of how our various services, including websites, applications and products, are used, and to evaluate and improve them
- to communicate with you on various other matters
- to comply with applicable legislation
CRH Denmark receives and collects your personal data directly from you or from other data controllers for the purpose of delivering and/or assisting in the delivery of products and handling related enquiries. This may include information that the company receives or obtains from others, including public authorities.
Types of information
The information that the company primarily processes about you is so-called ordinary personal data, including contact details such as name, address, telephone number, email address, etc.
In addition, we collect and register:
- nformation that you provide to us when you contact us via an online contact form, email or telephone
- data from your computer that is necessary for the functionality of our websites in accordance with our cookie policy, as well as data to enable us to offer you a relevant and interesting website that functions optimally. Such information may include personal data such as: IP addresses, browsing history, browser data, pages visited — but will depend on permitted cookies and pixels. Please read our cookie policy to see how we use cookies and comparable technologies. We always set functionally necessary cookies.
- personal data such as name, email and company name and other contact information in order to send newsletters and other relevant information about CRH Denmark’s products and group. We only send direct marketing to you via email or other electronic marketing if you have given your consent in accordance with the Marketing Practices Act.
- we use interest-based advertising. If, for example, you accept our marketing cookies when visiting our website, you may be shown advertisements from CRH Denmark on other platforms. This may involve tracking tools on social media such as Facebook Pixel and LinkedIn Pixel.
- transaction information when you purchase goods or services from us.
Specifically regarding the disclosure and transfer of your personal data
CRH Denmark discloses your personal data to, for example, contracted suppliers or advisers (third parties) where this is necessary in order to fulfil our obligations to you. This may include IT suppliers who provide IT systems related to our products.
In addition, CRH Denmark may disclose personal data in connection with the use of our websites, upon receipt of our newsletter (ELEMENTET) and upon receipt of other marketing material from CRH Denmark to hosting companies, providers of marketing services and other service providers relevant to fulfilling the aforementioned purposes.
Our third-party suppliers include, amongst others:
- advertising and media companies that carry out marketing and media activities on our behalf
- analytics and search engine providers that help us to improve and optimise our website, such as Google Analytics
- social media partners, for the purpose of targeting advertising/search results to specific audiences via social media.
If we disclose your personal data to partners or other parties, including for use in marketing or networking events (e.g. conferences and seminars), we will obtain your consent and inform you of what your data will be used for. You may at any time object to this form of disclosure.
We do not obtain your consent if we are legally obliged to disclose your personal data, for example as part of a report to a public authority.
Social media
As a user of social media such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, etc., you should be familiar with and understand the tools that these sites provide, which allow you to choose how you share your personal data on social media.
CRH Denmark is bound by third parties’ privacy practices and policies, and we therefore encourage you to read the applicable data protection notices, terms of use and related information about how your personal data is used on these social media platforms.
Depending on the choices you have made regarding your settings on the various social media platforms (and/or in combination with your settings on our websites), certain personal data about your online activities and social media profiles may be shared with us. If you are logged in to, for example, Facebook, Google or LinkedIn at the same time as visiting one of our websites, it is possible for providers to combine this data with your profile.

Storage and deletion of your personal data
Data about you will be deleted or archived when there is no longer a legitimate and work-related need to retain it for the fulfilment of the aforementioned obligations or tasks, or when there is otherwise no longer a legal basis for retaining the information.
Security
CRH Denmark has implemented a number of organisational, technical and physical measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure or access.
Your rights
Under data protection legislation, you have a number of rights in relation to the personal data that the company processes about you.
- Duty to inform
The company has a duty to inform you of what personal data is collected, the purpose of the collection, what the information is used for, and when it will be deleted. - Right to access your own personal data (Subject Access)
You have the right to access the information that the company holds about you. If you wish to exercise this right, please contact the company. The response time may be up to 4 weeks. - Right to rectification
You have the right to have inaccurate information about yourself corrected. Please contact the company with details of the inaccuracy and how it can be corrected. - Right to erasure
In certain circumstances, you have the right to have information about you deleted before our standard general deletion period comes into effect. - Right to restriction of processing
In certain cases, you have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted. - Right to object
In certain cases, you have the right to object to the company’s processing of your personal data.
Right to complain
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the Danish Data Protection Agency, Borgergade 28, 5, 1300 Copenhagen K, if you believe that the company is not processing your data in accordance with the applicable data protection rules.
