The quality of everyday life
Our focus on social responsibility must be felt in everyday life at our workplaces across the country. CRH Denmark does not only want to take responsibility for the construction of the future; we also take responsibility for our employees and our shared community. For us, it is not enough to build safe homes and modern offices — we also want to create safe and inclusive workplaces.
We are therefore very proud that two of our factories have received the Corporate Social Responsibility Award, which is presented to companies that demonstrate a strong commitment to social responsibility. At both factories, a great and successful effort has been made to integrate refugees and immigrants into everyday life, and we are very pleased to have received both awards.
A focus on the working environment and safety
We are also proud of the numbers 1,000 and 2,000. These are the number of days without workplace accidents at several of our factories, and one of our factories has even reached 3,000 days without a workplace accident.
At CRH Denmark, we place great importance on the working environment and safety in everyday life. Even when we are busy, our employees must feel safe. This not only produces the best results in the long run — it also makes us even better at tackling all the many exciting construction projects we are involved in.

We therefore look at ability and willingness first, without distinguishing on the basis of gender, race or religion. We make room for those who are willing and able, even if they come with different backgrounds and experiences. A good example is the many refugees who, in recent years, have secured permanent employment at CRH Denmark through internships.
