The Sustainable Concrete Initiative’s roadmap sets out concrete proposals for how CO\u2082 emissions can be reduced from start to finish in construction and civil engineering projects. The initiative’s target is a 70% reduction in CO\u2082 emissions by 2030 compared to 2019.<\/p>\n
The Sustainable Concrete Initiative focuses on the knowledge we already possess as well as on technologies that have been tested and need to become mainstream \u2014 through, amongst other things, improved client requirements, cross-disciplinary collaboration and systematic knowledge gathering.<\/p>\n
The chairmanship of the Sustainable Concrete Initiative’s steering committee is held in part by Vibeke Starup Jacobsen, Commercial director at CRH Denmark.<\/p>\n

In the working groups, we investigate, discuss, analyse and prioritise various solutions that can reduce the carbon footprint and set a common direction for the industry’s green transition.
